Creating Real Change
The Kitojo Empower Girls School is safe space for girls to learn to be self-reliant and self-sustained, breaking out of cycles of poverty and enabling stable life conditions. These girls become role models in the community and are able to create a bright future for generations to come through the skills they learn. We are committed to:
End the cycle of poverty in the local region – specifically those who grow up and subsequently fall into the rock quarry industry.
To provide older girls unable to attend secondary school with high-quality vocational skills through an affordable learning environment with training from caring, experienced instructors.
To provide nursery care and education to younger girls unable to receive same through an affordable learning environment with teaching from caring, experienced instructors.
